The annual spiritual journey to the sacred Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir—one of the holiest pilgrimages for Hindus—is now open for registration. Thousands of devotees take part in this significant yatra each year, and preparations for the 2025 edition are in full swing.
For the 2025 pilgrimage, the registration process began on April 14, with the yatra scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 19. According to the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), devotees can register through both online and offline channels.
To ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the yatra, a daily limit of approximately 15,000 pilgrims has been set. Due to this cap, early registration is strongly advised. Pilgrims must also meet specific health and age-related requirements, and submit the necessary documents during the registration process.
Online Process:

Go to the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) portal. - Navigate to Online Services
On the homepage, click on the “Online Services” tab. - Select Yatra Permit Registration
Choose the “Yatra Permit Registration” option from the dropdown menu. - Review Instructions
Carefully read all instructions and guidelines, then click “I Agree” to proceed. - Begin Registration
Click on the “Register” button to start the application. - Fill in Required Details: Enter your:
- Full Name
- Preferred Yatra Date
- Aadhaar Number
- Mobile Number (will be OTP-verified)
- Upload a passport-size photograph
- Upload a scanned Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC)
- Full Name

Within two hours of submission, a payment link will be sent to your registered mobile/email. Pay the registration fee (approximately ₹220) through the provided link. - Download the Yatra Permit
After successful payment, you can download your Yatra Registration Permit directly from the portal.
Offline Process:
For devotees who prefer to register in person, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has established several offline registration centers.
- Visit a Designated Registration Centre
Centers such as Vaishnavi Dham, Panchayat Bhawan, and Mahajan Hall in Jammu are issuing token slips, typically three days prior to your preferred yatra date. - Health Check-Up & Formal Registration
After receiving your token slip, visit Saraswati Dham the next day for a mandatory health check-up and formal registration. - Collect Your RFID Card
On the same day, proceed to the designated RFID card center in Jammu to collect your RFID card, which is essential for tracking and security during the yatra.
